Chill Eagles Football Club
Founded 2011
13/09/14 (league) - Chill Eagles-4, Sefton Churches-3
Inspired by last weeks embarassing loss to Alder Warriors, the Eagles were fired up and able to get their first 3 points of the season against Sefton Churches; whom like Alder are new faces in division 3 having been relegated from division 2 last season.
The Eagles were in inspired form as they never lost their lead over the opposition after going infront in the first half. Kieran Spriggs put Chill Eagles infront after using all his trickery to worm his way through the Sefton back line and slotting his shot past the keeper with a strike from his left foot. A second goal was delivered by Bobby Brougham with his first goal of the season, finishing in dramatic fashion with a thunderbolt from the edge of the Sefton area after being on the other end of a magnificent assist from Robert Hilton. The two final goals came from Daniel Boyd after he left the bench; his first with a mighty run, leaving the Sefton back four chasing his shaddow and finishing with style with his stronger left foot. His second came shortly after with a bullet header after being found unmarked from a cross by Hilton, allowing him to claim a second assist.
An immense ammount of credit must be given to Eagle's three centre midfielders: Tom Chee, Robert Hilton and man of the match James Smaje; who between them ran the game and made sure that the result went the Eagle's way.
Goals: Kieran Spriggs (1), Robert Brougham (1), Daniel Boyd (2)
Manager's man of the match: James Smaje
